Windmill Inn, Pilcher Gate, 1966 Seen here at the junction with Fletcher Gate. 'Alter Ego' bar was built in its place, which itself has been demolished to make way for new buildings.

Raleigh Athletic Club and Cricket Team, Old Coach Road, 1970s Demolished in 1986, this social club in Wollaton was taken over by Stan Northern (with beard to the right) and his wife in Iris in 1963. Les and Irene Eley were the next licensees.
