The
'Royal Children' pub on Castle Gate. Up until recently, this
had a whalebone hanging outside it. This was due to the pubs
secondary trade being the sale of whale oil for lamps.

The old 'British Waterways' building, which
has been recently renovated, on Canal Street. A
small bridge now leads you to the new Court buildings and the
Meadows area. |

the 'Bunkers Hill Inn' with the new Ice Arena to its left.

former 'Crystal Palace' pub on Clumber Street is now an amusement
arcade, with McDonalds to its left.

Royal and Parliament St, the green-windowed brick building on
the left is where the 'Classic' cinema used to be. The
blue building on the corner is O'Neills' Irish Bar. The Newton
Building of Nottingham Trent University looms in the background. |
