ST ANN'S OUTINGS

At 52 Alfred Street South, St Ann's, lived Doris and Arthur Swift. Doris (formerly Robey) was Grandma Lucy's younger sister, and ran a lacework business from her multi-roomed house at Alfred Street. Each year the firm would arrange a trip to Great Yarmouth. Below are some examples, plus a few of Doris herself. Doris and Arthur first lived at 27 Dennett Street, before moving to Alfred Street, which was demolished in 1969.
